Affiliations

The club is affiliated to both the National Small-Bore Rifle Association (NSRA Ref: 4971) and the National Rifle Association (NRA Ref: 278).

These provide access for our members to national competitions (individual entry fees maybe apply) organised by each of the organisation.

Third party civil liability insurance is provided to members via these affiliations (NOTE: Cover only applicable whilst shooting in competitions/events whilst representing Dudley Rifle Club.)

We are also affiliated to the Hereford & Worcs Rifle Association (HWRA). This affiliation provides access to the use of centre fire (full bore) rifles on military ranges (NOTE: Subject to range availability and the shooter possessing a NRA range competency certificate).

Dudley Rifle Club also has Home Office Club Approval (Club Approval Ref: CFP/10/1/7/4/1/2/1/3/91).

This allows members/guests who do not possess their own firearm certificates (FAC) to shoot on the range.
Note: This approval, in the form of a Home Office Exemption Certificate allows members/guests to shoot not only club firearms, but firearms of our members, without specifically having them notorised on an FAC, as would otherwise be required. However, Long Barrelled Pistols/Long Barrelled Revolvers are specifically excluded from the exemption and are not allowed to be handled by anybody other than those who have the serial number of that particular firearm on their certificate. Although it does not apply at our range, it is worth noting that this stipulation also applies to Section 1 Shotguns and also firearms that are designed to fire in excess of 10,000 Ft Lbs of Muzzle Energy (Such as .50 Calibre Centrefire Rifles).
